Garry Adam Architect | Steadings at Tree Nursery House

projects / steadings at tree nursery house

Conversion of a stone building originally used as the fire station for Panmure Sawmill in to a contemporary three bedroom home.  This house has a bright and spacious feel within a relatively small building. Its design uses Passive House principles in a very bespoke design solution. High levels of insulation, a degree of Solar Gain through roof lighting in to a double height space, MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) and has no conventional heating system. Instead the Ortner solid fuel stove is the only form of heating.
