An interesting bespoke house forming Part of the Old Orchard Development at Kirkton of Craig.
The house takes a simple linear form arranged north south to maximise the views from the house over the sea. The building sits tightly towards the north site boundary to allow as much of the site as possible to be a private walled garden. This move creates a generous and very private feel to the garden.
Curved zinc roof forms allow all the houses at Kirkton of Craig to bear a family resemblance to each other, whilst the wall finishes vary. Smooth white lightly textured render and Siberian Larch give the house a crisp contemporary feel.
